Client: A charming couple with a beautiful family home.
Brief: To create a beautifully light and fresh living, dining and kitchen space that would not only work as one open-plan room, but also incorporate an individual zone for each area.
Room: Lounge Diner
We began by removing a wall between the kitchen and dining area to create one large space. We then worked with our clients’ individual style and taste, using colours that were already present in the existing fireplace. The pine surround, cupboard and shelves, however, had been draining light from the room and so these were freshly painted.
A delightful combination of Karndean and carpet visually separates the living area from the kitchen and dining spaces, with the added bonus of a cosy feel to the living area.
The clients decided to keep their original kitchen units. A stunning oak dresser complements the existing dining table and chairs, and the classic look is rounded off with bespoke, made-to-measure curtains, cushions and lampshades.
