Our Client: Art lovers, with a house that backs onto woodland.
Our Brief: To modernise an outdated dining room in need of a makeover!
All was dark, dated and cluttered, with pine shelves, a pine fire-surround and a blue colour scheme draining all natural light. All was soon transformed, with a light neutral colour to give a smart and contemporary feel throughout.
We included wallpaper on one wall, in the same design as the fabric used for the stunning Roman blinds. Bespoke white shelves now match the newly-painted fire surround, while a simple curved shelf replaces the base cupboards in the alcove, for a welcome sense of space.
The clients’ dining chairs were beautifully re-upholstered in a soothing aqua fabric, complementing the Roman blinds and wallpaper. ‘Albero’ means tree, and with this room’s tonal colours and new-found sense of space, the name fits perfectly.
